Supporting Education. Strengthening Community.

The Sumter Schools Enhancement Foundation (SSEF) bridges the gap between public funding and the actual needs of our students and teachers. Whether you have 30 minutes a week to mentor or a desire to fund a scholarship, your contribution stays right here in Sumter County.

Ways to Make an Impact

Volunteer & Mentor Mentoring (Take Stock in Children) Invest 30 minutes a week to change a life. As a mentor, you provide the encouragement an at-risk student needs to graduate high school and earn a college scholarship.

Schedule a Speaker Want to learn more? Our ambassadors love visiting local civic groups, HOAs, and businesses to share the success stories of our Sumter students.

Programs & Drives Supplies for Success Help us ensure every child walks into the classroom prepared. We host annual school supply drives and manage "Classroom Grants" that put innovative tech and books directly into teachers' hands.

Board Leadership Looking to serve at a higher level? We seek passionate community leaders to join our Board of Directors to help guide our vision and fiscal strategy.

Strategic Partnerships

For businesses and organizations looking to invest in the local workforce.

• Corporate Sponsorship: Partner with us for major events like the Teacher of the Year celebration or our annual Golf Tournament.

• In-Kind Support: We welcome donations of professional services, event catering, or specialized equipment for our schools.

• Matching Gifts: Increase your impact by matching your employees' donations to the Foundation.

Fast Ways to Give

The "Support Education" Tag Turn your commute into a contribution. When you choose the Florida Education specialty plate, $20 comes back to SSEF to fund local literacy and classroom initiatives.

Planned Giving & Endowments Create a lasting legacy. We work with donors to establish permanent scholarship funds or memorial endowments that support Sumter students for generations to come.
